Dr. Zafar Said is a Distinguished Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the UAE University. He specializes in Renewable Energy, Solar Energy, AI, and more, supporting SDGs 7, 9, 11, and 13 on clean energy, innovation, sustainable cities, and climate action. He has published over 300+ papers as per Web of Science, including in Progress in Energy and Combustion, Physics Reports, Materials Science & Engineering R, Advanced Energy Materials, Journal of Materials Chemistry A, Nano Energy, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, 5 books, 30 book chapters, and 30+ conference papers, and 5 US patents granted & 2 Indian Patents. Dr. Jiashen Teh is an Associate Professor in Electrical Power Systems at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and Technical Director at UPE-Power Technology Co., Ltd., Taiwan. He earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manchester, UK, in 2016, supported by a full MOHE scholarship. Dr. Teh is internationally recognized for his pioneering work on dynamic line rating and renewable energy integration, having authored over 80 SCIE-indexed journal articles, 3 book chapters, and secured 3 intellectual properties. His work has garnered more than 4,500 citations with an h-index of 40, placing him in Stanford University’s Top 2% of the world’s most-cited researchers for five consecutive years (2019–2023). He has secured over RM1.4 million in competitive grants and consultancy projects, with industry collaborations spanning Malaysia, Taiwan, and Saudi Arabia. A Senior Member of IEEE and Member of IET, Dr. Teh has served as keynote speaker at more than 20 international conferences and has successfully supervised multiple PhD and MSc graduates, including postdoctoral fellows, advancing the next generation of power system researchers. His awards include the IEEE PES Outstanding Engineer Award (2021) and the IET Malaysia Outstanding Young Professional Award (2022). Through his industry-focused training programs, Dr. Teh has impacted over 50 companies—including Intel, PETRONAS, and B. Braun—helping them achieve measurable energy efficiency and ESG outcomes.
Prof. Dr. Foo Keng Yuen is the UNESCO Co-Chair on Eco-hydraulics for Sustainable Water Infrastructures for SDG 6 in the Asia and the Pacific Region. His research interests are environmental engineering, waste utilization, water treatment technology, catalysis, food security and toxicology, and environmental health. He has involved in different kinds of university, national and international research grants, amounting to approximately RM 10 million. His aptitude for high quality research of international standing has been supported by the consultancy projects of exceeding RM 3 million, more than 200 international publications, with a total citation of exceeding 20,000, and an author h-index of 53. Foo’s scholastic achievements and thought leadership are recognised locally and internationally. He is honoured to be the Top 2% Scientists in their Respective Fields and Top 2% Highly Cited Scientists in the world by the Stanford University, California consequentially for 5 years. Foo has been nominated to be the honoree of the Ten Outstanding Young Malaysians (TOYM) 2022, Top Research Scientist Malaysia (TRSM) 2019, National Young Scientist Award 2017, International Young Inventor Award, Marquis Who's Who in the World, Top 100 Engineers, and Honorary Doctorate of Letters by International Biographical Centre Cambridge, England, and special award or medal winners in International Inventions, Competitions and Exhibitions. Foo has been nominated as the Chief Consultant for several UNESCO’s international workshops, connecting with more than 30 industrial partners, currently has been appointed as the technical consultant for TG Ocean Health Food Industries Limited Company and research and development (R&D) consultant for Gold Choice Food Industries Limited Company.
